Position Overview:
ITSC Secure Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Specialist to join our team at Maxwell AFB, AL. The Security Specialist plays a vital role in safeguarding Delta 13’s sensitive information and ensuring compliance with all applicable security regulations and directives. This position is responsible for administering and executing a robust Information and Personnel Security (INFOPERSEC). Program
Responsibilities:
Information Security (INFOSEC) Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive INFOSEC program, ensuring full alignment with EO 13526, DoDM 5200.01 Vol 1-3/AFMAN 16-1404 Vol 1-3, DoDI 5200.48/AFI 16-1403, and other applicable directives.
Policy and Procedure Development: Establish clear policies, procedures, and protocols for the handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with all security regulations and directives, conducting regular audits and assessments.
Training and Awareness: Conduct security training and awareness programs for Delta 13 personnel to ensure understanding and adherence to security protocols.
Incident Response: Manage and respond to security incidents, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of security activities and prepare reports for senior leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Experience as a Security Specialist within a military or government setting.
Technical Skills: Experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive military organization’s INFOSEC program.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
