Security Officer – DAY SHIFT – Security Jobs in Lancaster, PA at Penn State Health
JOB SUMMARY: Provides security and protection for employees, guests, clients, and patrols the interior and exterior of assigned post. Continuously and effectively interacts with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries in a reasonable tone and manner.
Maintains focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people and noise. Assists with unruly guests and criminals in combative situations, effects citizen’s arrest when necessary. Writes required reports regarding all incidents that occur. Communicates via two-way radio and cell phone.
Directs both foot and vehicular traffic during emergency situations. Assists paramedics in medical situations. Performs CPR when needed. May operate mobile unit, bicycle, or other mode of transportation for patrol purposes.
Responds to alarms and communicates with local law enforcement agencies. Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all while staying alert to their needs.
Notifies supervisor and/or manager of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and company policies, practices and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1 year of experience as an unarmed security officer in Nevada.
Unarmed Guard Card issued by the Nevada PILB
Duty belt with equipment (handcuffs, pepper spray, baton)
LVPS PILB #1501

Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
