*THIS POSITION IS PART TIME IN DOWNTOWN SPARTANBURG, PRIMARILY 9-2AM FRIDAY-SATURDAY NIGHTS.
5:9 Protection Services is a growing local company that provides enthusiastic, courteous, and professional staffing solutions.
At 5:9 Protection Services, you will play an essential role for our clients and patrons. You will be tasked with preserving order while enforcing directives set forth by our client’s. Our protection specialists will provide exceptional customer service, and ensure the safety of the business, employees and guests.
Job Duties:
Provide excellent customer service by handling customer and employee concerns.
Greet guests respectfully, while determining their eligibility for entry by adhering to all legal requirements, and directives set forth by the business.
Locate, report, and address any safety concerns
Control access at points of ingress and egress, enforce crowd control at times of peak volume.
Assess and monitor crowd activity, identify/address/deescalate disputes between patrons to ensure a safe environment for fellow staff and other patrons.

Starting pay will be based on experience and references.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public
Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
Remain flexible to ever changing environments; adapt well to different situations
Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard
Neat and professional appearance
Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving/receiving instructions and using phones
Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume the public
Must be available to work nights and weekends
Must have reliable transportation
Job Requirements
Have ability to stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift)
Must be physically capable.
Have ability to work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat.
Constant mental and physical alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.
Be able to obtain and hold a unarmed sled license.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 – $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
Night shift
Weekends as needed
