JOB TITLE: Security Officer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the Security and Patrol of SAHARA Las Vegas Sales Offices and Career Center, this position will offer swing or grave shifts only
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
Will be required to walk all employees to their car after working hours
Responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees
Patrols the outside and inside perimeter of each office building, ensuring that reports are made to Vice President of Security if there is a potential safety issue
Responsible for minimizing opportunities for loss or damage, anticipating potential problems, reacting to disturbances and prohibited conduct
Responsible for responding to emergency situations as needed
Works closely with Las Vegas Metro to ensure that the office buildings are being kept safe and secure against unwelcome guests or vagrants
Will be responsible for preparing written reports
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Military, Security, Law Enforcement or customer service experience with a minimum of three (3) years in the hotel/casino industry is preferred
Must be able to work efficiently alone or in a team environment
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Must maintain confidentiality of employee/guest information and pertinent hotel data in order to perform job functions with attention to detail
Previous experience in Guest Relations or similar experience is preferred
Working knowledge of basic gaming regulations is preferred, but not required
A valid Nevada Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card are required and must be obtained before entering this position
A valid NV Driver’s license is required and must be obtained before entering this position
Must be 21 years of age or older
