Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance of premises.
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Manage conflict situations effectively, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or safety hazards.
Provide first aid and CPR as necessary in emergency situations until professional help arrives.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts for record-keeping purposes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification in security-related fields is a plus (e.g., security guard training).
Strong understanding of surveillance systems including CCTV operation.
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques is advantageous.
CPR and First Aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail and the ability to assess situations quickly.
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
