Door/Security Position
Watermark is located on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ. Since 2008 we have been at the forefront of offering a high-end cocktail experience with Mediterranean tapas in a sleek and sprawling lounge. The property is 8000 square feet which includes the outside deck and bar in the summer.
Watermark’s Door/Security team is responsible for monitoring and authorizing the entrance and exit of customers and work to prevent damage and threat including theft, equipment, and property and bodily damage.

REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or certificate of training completion as Trained Security Officer is welcomed but not contingent for employment. Should have a basic knowledge in public safety, restaurant security procedures and protocol. Security members must be available to work weekends, including holidays and special event Sundays, as well as being able to handle working in the heat on the outside deck and front door in the summer.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Door security members are to greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Door security members should be familiar with I.D. checking.
Door security members are tasked to observe for signs of potential damage or threat, such as a person’s unusual behavior and other suspicious activities.
Door security members ensure the safety and security of the premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring available surveillance and other security equipment, and inspecting entry and exit points.
Door security members are responsible for controlling foot traffic into the premises by creating a regulated line to maintain safety and avoiding overcrowding.
Door security members assist customers and floor staff as needed with spills and empty glassware.
Door security members handle customers committing violations in a professional and non-aggressive manner and evicting violators, when necessary, in the same manner.
Door security members assist with closing by escorting guests out, clearing glassware, emptying lobby trash, and storing movable furniture.
Summary
As a Security/Door Person, you will be essential in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests. Reporting to the Security Manager, your core skills in security and conflict management will ensure the safety of patrons and staff. Your premium skills in first aid, surveillance, and law enforcement will enhance our security measures. Additionally, your relevant experience with CCTV and loss prevention will be invaluable. With a background in restaurant and cocktail service, you will also contribute to a positive guest experience while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
