We are assembling a small team of officers for On-Call / Temporary assignments. We are looking for both Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to fill short-term assignments that may last from a day to 6 months or possibly longer. These positions are ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours to supplement other work or earn extra money. Availability must be somewhat flexible, and while there may be opportunities at other sites in the area, we cannot guarantee steady hours or ongoing assignments once a specific task concludes.
Please note: This is not a full-time position or steady source of income. Hours will vary greatly, and there is no guarantee of hours following the completion of a given assignment.
Overview
We are looking for vigilant and reliable Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to ensure a safe environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will play an essential role in maintaining security and responding effectively to various situations. Your skills in conflict resolution, surveillance, and first aid will help ensure the safety of everyone on-site.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent suspicious activity or security threats.
Operate and oversee CCTV systems to maintain constant surveillance.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Provide first aid or CPR when required, ensuring immediate care for any injuries or medical emergencies.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports for future reference.
Engage in loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
Qualifications
Valid armed or unarmed security officer license or certification as required by local regulations.
Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in conflict management techniques and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation, is highly desirable.
First aid and CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential threats.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
