We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Package/Mail Screener to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to screen and inspect incoming mail and packages to ensure they are safe, secure, and compliant with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and screen all incoming mail and packages to detect any prohibited, dangerous, or suspicious items.
Follow established security protocols for handling and reporting any potential threats or concerns.
Utilize screening equipment such as x-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security devices.
Coordinate with security personnel and relevant authorities in case of potential threats.
Maintain accurate records of screened items and any incidents or irregularities.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations.
Assist with other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a security, mailroom, or screening role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with security screening equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $32.00 – $33.95 per hour
