Toyota of Olympia is seeking a responsible and self-motivated Night Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our dealership property during overnight hours. This role involves monitoring the premises using a company-provided vehicle, preventing theft and unauthorized access, and reporting any unusual activity. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, dependable, and capable of working independently to maintain a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol dealership lot, buildings, and perimeter using a provided security vehicle.
Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or potential theft.
Ensure that all vehicles, doors, and gates are secured throughout the shift.
Respond promptly to alarms, unusual activity, or disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
Maintain a detailed activity log and report any security concerns to management.
Communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services if needed.
Follow all dealership security and safety protocols to protect property and inventory.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and hold oneself accountable for responsibilities.
Strong situational awareness and ability to detect suspicious behavior.
A calm, level-headed demeanor, especially in unexpected situations.
Reliable, punctual, and able to complete all required security tasks without supervision.
Basic report-writing skills to document nightly observations.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
