We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the premises through surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention strategies.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
Operate CCTV systems to oversee activities within the premises.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access.
Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
Document incidents and prepare reports as required for law enforcement or management review.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when needed to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Skills
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
Experience in law enforcement or military background is an asset.
Must have Active MD Guard Card
Proficiency in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
