The Role You’ll Contribute
Monitor compliance with hospital policies and procedures, crime deterrence, and maintains a safe and secure environment for employees, patients and visitors. The position is highly visible to the public and must be executed in a professional, courteous manner. He/She reports to the Director of Security.
The Value You’ll Bring To The Team
Provides Security assistance to hospital staff, Patients, and Services and visitors.
Provides physical security for the entire hospital complex including perimeter.
Supports minor maintenance duties after normal business hours.
The Security Officer supports the Hospital Service Management Program.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
High school graduate or GED.
Minimum of two years’ experience in Security or Law Enforcement
Class “D” security license
State of Florida class “E” drivers’ license
International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire
Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training and cerification required or must obtain within 3 months of hire
