Position: Hospital Security Officer
Location: 501 N. 24th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008
Shifts Available:
Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (5 days, 8-hour shifts)
Swing Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (5 days, 8-hour shifts)
Night Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (4 days, 10-hour shifts)
Type: Contract-to-Hire (4 months, with potential transition to a State Security Officer role)
Role Overview:
As a Hospital Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and security within the facility, responding to emergencies, assisting with patient interventions, and conducting safety inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergencies, codes, and security incidents.
Rotate through various assigned posts, including campus interior roving.
Assist in patient interventions and conflict resolution.
Encourage and support the use of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) methods.
Maintain and inspect security equipment, vehicles, and radios.
Conduct investigations and complete detailed security reports.
Monitor surveillance systems and other safety-related equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in security, behavioral health, hospital security, institutional security, or law enforcement.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License with ability to drive as a rover.
Ability to obtain and maintain:
Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (per A.R.S. § 41-1758.07)
CPR Certification
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certification
Strong skills in verbal de-escalation, report writing, and emergency response.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
