Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment. The Security Officer will utilize various surveillance tools and techniques to prevent loss and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to maintain constant vigilance over the premises.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as needed.
Enforce rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for investigations or emergencies.
Provide first aid or CPR assistance as required in emergency situations.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Skills
Proficiency in surveillance techniques and equipment operation (CCTV).
Knowledge of law enforcement protocols and procedures is preferred.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Experience in loss prevention strategies is an advantage.
Familiarity with militarized security protocols can be beneficial.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing for reporting purposes.
