Job Description
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Security Officer to join our team in Washington, United States. This part-time position involves working overnight shifts and weekends to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets.
Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle to monitor and report suspicious activities
Control access to the facility by checking identification and issuing visitor badges
Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems, responding promptly to any alerts
Conduct regular security checks of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of all security-related activities
Assist in emergency situations, including coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary
Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid security officer license for the state of Washington
Strong observation and reporting skills
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Proficiency in using security equipment (e.g., surveillance systems, radios)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for extended periods
Basic computer skills for report writing and communication
Previous experience in security or law enforcement (preferred)
First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
Familiarity with local laws and regulations
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in high-pressure situations
Flexibility to work part-time, including overnight shifts and weekends
