Job Summary: GD Resources is seeking a dedicated Gate Attendant to manage campground access, provide visitor assistance, and perform administrative duties at the Left Tailrace Campground. The ideal candidate must own and reside in an RV on-site throughout the contract period.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the campground entrance building (fee booth) and manage the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) system.
Collect and process fees, issue permits, and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist visitors by providing information about the campground and local attractions.
Conduct daily patrols of the campground to ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide emergency assistance when needed and report any safety concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized fee booth and campsite.
Attend required orientation and training sessions.
Schedule:
The contract period runs from April 30 to October 1 each year.
Work hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily; on-call for emergencies from 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM.
Must be available 24/7 on-site during the contract period.
Requirements:
Must own and reside in a well-maintained RV during the contract period.
Previous experience in customer service, fee collection, or campground management preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills for processing reservations and fee collections.
Ability to work independently and handle emergencies professionally.
Must pass a background check and meet all security requirements.
Compensation:
Fixed contract rate (to be discussed based on experience).
On-site RV hookup provided (water, electricity, sewer included).
