Shift: Night Shift (6 pm – 6 am)
Role Overview
As a Security Officer, you will patrol the Medical Center to deter vandalism, prevent unauthorized entry, and maintain order. You will also assist staff with various tasks and support the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
Secure the landing pad and support Mercy Air Care ground operations.
Ensure the safe transfer of deceased patients to the morgue.
Assist with minor automotive issues for patients, visitors, and employees.
Conduct regular patrols of parking areas, grounds, and buildings to check security.
Help with passive restraint of uncooperative individuals to ensure safety.
Respond to emergencies such as fire, theft, or suspicious activity.
Monitor parking areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements
Valid driver’s license.
Good communication skills and personable demeanor.
Desire to help others.
Ability to recognize and anticipate needs.
Effective communication with healthcare team members.
Must be able to travel within Siouxland region; proof of insurance required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
