This is an On-Call position at CRISTA Ministries in Shoreline, WA.
Compensation: $18.50 – $20 per hour, DOE
Benefits: 403(b) matching, sick leave
We are looking to grow our Security Officer substitute pool. We will depend on our officer pool to fill in when we have leaves, vacations etc. Multiple openings.

POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Security Officer is to assure a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors, staff and property of CRISTA Ministries. This is accomplished by conducting routine random patrol of CRISTA property, responding to and investigating security-related incidents, reporting safety hazards observed during patrol activity, and appropriately documenting actions and observations noted during assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle.
Identify and report all incidents and hazards in prescribed manner.
Respond effectively to instructions given by management and emergency personnel.
Provide the highest degree of customer service, determining and responding to the needs of residents, visitors, and staff.
Verbally communicate in an appropriate and effective manner.
Maintain confidentiality of all private CRISTA-related information.
Work independently when necessary.
Function effectively as part of the Security team.
Must be physically able to work, stand, walk, and climb stairs for entire shift. Must be able to respond rapidly to emergency situations.
Work various shifts and overtime as necessary.
Complete timely all required documentation, following established procedures.
Maintain appearance standards as established by supervisor.
Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Christian Commitment: Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth.
Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year of security experience.
Licensure/Certification: Valid Washington State driver’s license with clean driving record. Minimum age of 21.
Software And Equipment Used: Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic technical understanding of existing security systems.
