We are seeking a Security Corporal of the Property Entry Screening division for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.

The right Security Corporal of the Property Entry Screening division checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
The overall mission of this position is to protect people and property, maintain a peaceful, fun-filled and safe atmosphere, and enforce Security procedures in a manner consistent with the Mission and Values of The Dollywood Company. This role exists to ensure a seamless transition in operational supervision in the absence of and in coordination with the Entry Screening Sergeant at all Entry Screening Locations including Dollywood & Dollywood’s Splash Country.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assisting the Entry Screening Sergeant with supervisory tasks for the Entry Screening team
Assisting the Entry Screening Sergeant with making work schedules for the Team
Assisting the Entry Screening Sergeant with making Entry Screening assignments and approving breaks
Assisting the Entry Screening Sergeant with all Entry Screening management or admin duties as assigned by the Entry Screening Sergeant
Act as the Officer in Charge, when designated by the Entry Screening Sergeant, during daily operation
Ensure Entry Screening team is informed in all aspects of security and also basic park knowledge
Ensure all applicable security procedures are followed
Ensure all Entry Screening team and areas are clean, presentable, and ready for opening and also at the end of the night using the daily checklists
Ensure Entry Screening area is stocked with all needed supplies; will notify Entry Screening Sergeant when supplies are needed
Work with other Teams and their leadership in a cooperative teamwork atmosphere
Communicating with the officers on the Team and keeping them informed of any new or changed operating procedures and policies
Provide positive discipline
Oversee training of new hosts and ongoing training for all hosts on the team and ensure effective and efficient completion of training
Oversee the Entry Screening team FTOs
Showing appreciation for jobs well done
Giving input to be utilized in PE scoring
Preventing and resolving conflicts
Ensuring that all applicable Dollywood procedures are followed
Lending personal assistance to officers in difficult situations
Ensuring that all required paperwork, reports, and logs on their Team are complete and accurate
Ensure that alerts on the security detection system have been properly classified and documentation of certain alerts is completed
Complete security reports when necessary or as assigned based on events/calls that they have responded to or assisted with in at or near the Entry Screening locations
Must be able to assist in the development and the implementation of new programs that will allow the Team to track line speeds, transaction times and processing times that will show activity accomplished which will enable to assist Team management with staffing and budgeting issues for the next season
Assisting the EMS Team
Assisting with fire and flood prevention at their work locations
Being generally friendly and caring
Controlling park access at Guest, Host and service entrances
Crowd control
Helping guests find their way
Taking possession of lost property and returning same to Lost & Found
Must complete the duties and responsibilities of a front-line Entry Screening team member when necessary or as assigned
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
Education and Experience Required
Preference will be given to candidates with prior Law Enforcement or Security related experience
Must be able to meet the qualifications to be certified as a Security Officer by the State of Tennessee, licensed by the Department of Commerce & Insurance Private Protection Services as prescribed by the Tennessee Code Annotated 62-35 Act of 1922 (See attachments TCA 62-35-116, TCA 62-35-117)
Must possess valid Tennessee driver’s license and have state required auto insurance
First Aid and C.P.R. certification required or ability to obtain a certification
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Must not have been released or discharged under any other than Honorable Discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States
Must have good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the employing agency
Must have good working knowledge with computers and computer applications
