Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Officer will utilize various security measures and physical patrols, to ensure the safety of the premises.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order within the facility.
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure security protocols are followed.
Assist in conflict management by de-escalating situations with effective communication skills.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Participate in ongoing training programs to maintain certification in CPR, first aid, and other relevant skills.
Requirements
Previous experience in security, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification in CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed.
