The Head of Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all security operations for a large-scale cannabis cultivation and distribution facility. This includes ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, protecting company assets, managing security personnel, and mitigating risks related to theft, diversion, and unauthorized access.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enforce security protocols for facilities and transportation.
Ensure compliance with state and federal cannabis security regulations.
Manage security systems, including surveillance, alarms, and access controls.
Hire, train, and oversee security personnel.
Conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement.
Oversee secure transport of cannabis products.
Qualifications
5-7 years of security management experience (preferably in cannabis, pharma, or high-risk industries).
Background in law enforcement, military, or corporate security preferred.
Strong knowledge of cannabis security regulations and compliance.
Experience managing security personnel, surveillance systems, and emergency response.
Ability to obtain state security clearances/licenses as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
