Security Operations Center Analyst Level 1

Job Responsibilities
Monitoring and Surveillance:
Continuously monitor security alerts and network traffic for suspicious activities.
Incident Response:
Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating them to higher-level analysts if necessary.
Threat Analysis:
Perform initial analysis of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Documentation:
Document incidents, findings, and actions taken.
Tool Management:
Manage and configure security monitoring tools and systems.
Required Qualifications
Educational Background:
Diploma/National Senior Certificate or related qualifications.
Certifications: A+, N+ CompTIA Security+, Cisco, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
Familiarity with tools such as NMAP, mxtoolbox, dnschecker.
Understanding of network protocols and cybersecurity principles.
Basic scripting and programming skills.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical andproblem-solvingabilities.
Goodcommunication skillsto effectively report findings and collaborate with team members.
Experience: 1 to 3 years in the SOC environment. Prior work in IT or cybersecurity is beneficial.
