Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated ON CALL Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO claim temporary posts that may come up throughout the week in Central Florida. These post range from single day posts to several weeks. This position will be perfect for the individual that has some free time to work throughout the week, but does not want to be locked into a 40hr schedule every week.
Duties
Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.
Conduct thorough inspections of the premises, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
Document daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities in detailed reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident response.
Provide assistance in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively when required.
Qualifications
A valid D or G license.
Experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
Ability to handle conflict management situations calmly and professionally.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
