Job Summary
The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations within the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. The Director will implement effective security measures, conduct risk assessments, and lead a team of security professionals to maintain a secure environment. This position demands strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of loss prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard organizational assets.
Oversee surveillance operations, including the management of CCTV systems to monitor activities and prevent theft or vandalism.
Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Manage conflict resolution efforts, ensuring that all incidents are handled professionally and in accordance with established protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
Train and mentor security staff in best practices for loss prevention, surveillance techniques, and emergency response procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding security operations.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and safety drills.
Experience
Proven experience in a security management role or similar position within law enforcement or military settings.
Strong knowledge of loss prevention strategies and surveillance technologies.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; additional certifications related to security management are a plus.
Demonstrated expertise in conflict management and crisis intervention techniques.
Familiarity with the operation of CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving security objectives.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
