Position Overview:
Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the premises, guests, team members and assets of the facility. You will be required to maintain a vigilant presence, perform bag checks, respond promptly to any security breaches or emergencies, assist with shuttle for parking and assist the Manager on Duty with other tasks throughout the property during non-peak times. The role involves a high level of customer engagement, must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Surveillance and Monitoring:
Keep a watchful eye on the premises, guests, entrances/exits, parking lots, and assets of the facility.
Access Control:
Enforce policies and procedures of guest rules and regulations including, but not limited to, outside food/beverage and weapon policies.
Emergency Response:
Provide rapid response in critical situations.
Take appropriate action during emergencies, such as contacting emergency services/authorities, or assisting in evacuating personnel.
Work to prevent situations from arising and/or have ability to deescalate situations that arise.
Incident Reporting:
Document all incidents and accidents.
Prepare and submit detailed reports in a timely manner.
Customer Service:
Provide assistance and information to guests, team members, and other visitors.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions.
Deterrence:
Act as a visible deterrent to undesirable activity by maintaining a strong and visible security presence.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to preventing security incidents.
Cross Training:
Cross train in other areas of the business to assist with other functions as needed such as receiving deliveries, facility organization, opening and/or closing procedures.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other personnel and relevant departments to ensure a coordinated security approach.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to share information on security issues.
Equipment Operation:
Operate security equipment, such as radios, golf carts, and access control systems.
Report any malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate authorities.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational security policies.
Stay updated on security best practices and participate in training programs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Proven experience as a Safety/Security Guard or related field.
Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
Strong observational and communication skills.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Attributes or Requirements:
Ability to work weekends, weeknights and holidays.
