SummaryThe Security Supervisor, guided by the SSG Division Director, Associate Director of Operations, and/or Program Manager, is tasked with overseeing a team of 10 to 25 Security Officers and Lot Monitor personnel. This role encompasses various administrative responsibilities, including the approval of Paycom timecards, scheduling, providing verbal coaching, administering disciplinary measures, and conducting performance evaluations. In addition to these duties, the Security Supervisor plays a key role in the ongoing training of staff, coordinates client flow, and ensures the security and safety of staff, clients, and visitors. Responsibilities also include making recommendations regarding the hiring of new personnel, as well as terminations when necessary. The Security Supervisor is responsible for managing security needs, developing relationships with local law enforcement, and engaging in crisis management within the office. Documentation of incidents, whether verbally or in writing, is also part of the role. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Program Director or Program Manager as needed.
Essential Functions
The Supervisor will be responsible for executing administrative duties.
The Supervisor ensures the protection and defense of Personnel such as clients, visitors and staff that safeguard the property of SSG/HOPICS
The Supervisor shall address disciplinary issues, emergencies, medical emergencies, and requests for assistance involving residents, clients, and fellow staff members calmly and reasonably while accurately documenting the details of the incidents.
The Supervisor shall show an essential, comprehensive and robust understanding of all assigned security positions and their relevance to the program’s requirements and the organization’s objectives
The Supervisor shall ensure an appropriate response in an emergency, it is essential to possess comprehensive knowledge of all emergency policies, critical incidents, and procedures.
Supervisors must cultivate effective communication and foster positive working relationships with all security personnel, Lot Monitors, staff members, and community partners.
The supervisor shall ensure adequate security coverage at each site and verify that all safety equipment, including badge readers and security apparatus, is fully operational
The Supervisor shall ensure that all meal provisions are supplied for security officers assigned to their respective shifts or that employees receive their Compensation Meal Plan (CMP).
The Supervisor shall ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures while executing security measures.
The Supervisor shall discipline in discussions and attendance concerns with security officers be documented and that appropriate disciplinary actions are initiated when necessary.
The Supervisor shall implement and execute corrective measures corresponding to any violations in accordance with the SSG/HOPICS Policy and Codes
The Supervisor shall serve as a troubleshooter for any issues that may arise during their assigned shift
