Must be COVID and flu vaccinated by start date.
Postion will require two onsite meeting per month.
Client: Major St. Louis, Missouri based regional healthcare system operating over 90 medical facilities across 8 states in the Midwest employing over 2,000 physicians and 40,000 employees. Modern Healthcare Magazine named as a “top 100 places to work” and four time Watson Health Top 15 Health System.
Role:
Perform security risk assessments with regard to new security technologies implemented.
Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures.
Administer security policies to control physical and virtual system access.
Participate in the development of security policies.
Research, recommend, and design new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing networks.
Modify/select IT security procedures/safeguards that enhance the existing level of security and integrity.
Analyze system performance for potential security problems (e.g., failure to update access control tables, corrupted data).
Conduct the review and evaluation of functional IT security requirements for a system and recommend alternative safeguards that will satisfy baseline security specifications.
Interpret applicable company strategies, policies and external laws and regulations to develop security functional requirements (e.g., requiring encryption for Privacy Act data stored on a shared file server).
Provide tactical troubleshooting of security related hardware, and software problems with support of senior technicians.
Assure internal and external security as well as adherence to compliance standards.
Participate in implementation deployment, planning and execution.
Qualifications:
7 – 10+ years experience in IT security risk analysis.
Experienced utilizing security risk analysis tools such as Tenable, Qualys, ConnectWise LogicGate, ClickUp, etc.
CompTIA Security+ certification or others is a plus.
