Security Officer – Ross Street Garage (Pittsburgh, PA) Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Pay Rate: $20 per hour Schedule: 24/7 coverage, various shifts available
Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated Security Officers to provide 24/7 security at the Ross Street Garage in Pittsburgh. This position ensures the safety of employees, tenants, customers, and assets associated with Client. The ideal candidate will be reliable, observant, and professional, with strong communication skills and the ability to respond appropriately to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor & Secure Access: Enforce all access control procedures, verify personnel identification, and manage entry and exit points.
Incident Response: Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, security-related incidents, and emergencies (fires, medical events, accidents, criminal acts).
Crime Prevention & Reporting: Observe, deter, and, when necessary, lawfully detain unauthorized individuals. Assist law enforcement, protect crime scenes, and provide detailed incident reports.
Escort & Patrol: Provide vehicle presence at garage entrances and escort designated personnel or assets as required.
Training & Compliance: Maintain knowledge of security procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. Stay current with CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Equipment & Documentation: Utilize radios and security equipment, maintain records, and provide reports as required.
Requirements:
Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred, Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays , Strong observational and problem-solving skills , Excellent written and verbal communication skills , CPR/AED & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) , Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation , Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
