Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Lead to join our team. As a Security Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the security shift 11pm to 7am and ensuring the safety of our premises, staff, and visitors. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
Responsibilities:
– Lead and coordinate the activities of security personnel
– Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols as it pertains to the shift
– Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with security standards
– Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and alarms
– Respond to emergencies and incidents, such as thefts or disturbances
– Investigate security breaches and prepare detailed incident reports
– Ensure the security shift staff follows proper procedures and protocols
– Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents and actions taken
– Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
– Provide guidance and support to security team members
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in security management is a plus
– Proven experience as a Security Team Lead or similar role
– In-depth knowledge of security protocols and procedures
– Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control systems, and other security equipment
– Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques
– Excellent knowledge of emergency response procedures
– Ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner
– CPR and First Aid certification preferred
– Prior military or law enforcement experience is highly desirable
