The Security Manager is critical to the continued success of our operations. The primary goal of this position is to manage the security activities and ensure that customer service, security standards and policies and procedures are followed. In this role, you will lead your team in compliance with provincial alcohol and gaming regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the safety and security of employees, patrons, and company assets.
Ensures that all aspects of the Security department meet and or exceed the casino and regulators standards, policies and procedures. Manages, contributes and applies strategies to improve processes, standards, customer service and team morale.
Manages and participates in the security team activities and shifts by leading, training, mentoring, evaluating, and providing feedback as appropriate. Develops and manages staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer service. Oversees the human resources issues, performance, safety and recruitment needs of the department
Conducts investigations, determines findings and informs to casino management, regulatory and police.
Responsible for responding to major occurrences, such as fire alarms, bomb threats and evacuations.
Maintains building access and egress controls and ensures that department initiatives such as building evacuation, are coordinated with department and casino staff.
Retains a thorough and updated knowledge of company policies and procedures, provincial and local regulations for casino operations.
Liaises with the management team and participates in casino initiatives.
Exceptional networking skills (internal/external, other industry contacts, regulatory agencies, etc)
Develop and control your departmental budget, monitoring overtime, tracking scheduled hours, and managing operational expenses
What You Bring
A university degree or college diploma in law enforcement, criminal justice or comparable working experience, including completion of a management training program
Managerial experience in a related field of five (5) or more years
Proven high level of Customer Service
Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and managerial skills
Working knowledge of computer software packages
Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry
Current CPR and First Aid Certificate along with a Conflict Resolution Training Certificate (or equivalent course)
The ability to obtain registration with provincial gaming and alcohol regulatory body.
