SECURITY SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Essential Functions:
Prepare daily scheduling – monitor labor and overtime
Train Staff
Approve Payroll
Safeguard the assets of Hollywood Casino, our guests and team members by providing a safe and fun gaming and entertainment environment.
Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members to ensure a top-notch guest experience when delivering on internal and external guest requests. Offer wheelchair assistance to guests when asked.
Create a safe on-property environment by staying alert for all safety concerns, remaining alert and vigilant while on shift, and responding to all emergencies with the appropriate sense of urgency.
Survey and watch casino guests and curtailing inappropriate behavior immediately. Ensure safety of all guests by following intoxication procedures.
Manage physical or verbal confrontation between guests, team members and others by employing de-escalation tactics, using a minimal amount of force or guest/team member restraint.
Work closely with Security Director to ensure compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal statues and gaming regulations. Comprehends and enforces all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Security Department.
Supervise and assist with Valet duties when function is short staffed.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Knowledge of casino security and/or security practices, required
Experience successfully diffusing highly-charged, emotional situations and confrontation
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Proficient in excel and word.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
At least 6 months experience in customer service and/or security field preferred.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers and guests in fast-paced environment.
Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.
Employee must be able to obtain (or have) an active for Louisiana Gaming License
Employee must successfully complete RVP training.
Employee must have an active and valid driver’s license.
