ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel at client site(s); ensure compliance with post orders, complete rounds, and file reports; notify authorities in emergencies.
Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate; document actions.
Train Security Officers; review post orders and assignments.
Assist with payroll and personnel information submission.
Ensure adequate coverage of posts and positions.
Prepare, file, and submit reports as required.
Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks.
Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met.
Carry out supervisory duties, including interviewing, training, and performance appraisals.
May perform Security Officer duties as needed.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
Competencies:
Possess any applicable state, county, and municipal license for Security Officers.
Knowledge of security operations, patrol, inspection, and response services.
Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
Ability to motivate performance.
Understanding of security and safety devices and controls.
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
Ability to track and maintain schedules.
Ability to work as an effective team member.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Courteous telephone manner.
Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in procedures.
Ability to write logs and reports.
