Position
Overview:
We are seeking a Full-Time Security Supervisor to oversee security operations at a retail location in downtown Chicago. The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, leadership skills, and proficiency with computers or tablets.
Job Details
Compensation: $20.00 / hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shifts Available: Afternoon & Evening
Shift Hours: 2 PM – Midnight
Workdays: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Requirements
1+ years of security experience
Supervisory experience required
Comfortable using a computer or tablet
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 18 years of age
Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check
Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
Responsibilities
Supervise security personnel and ensure all policies are enforced.
Monitor and patrol the retail location for safety and security.
Respond to incidents and emergencies promptly and professionally.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
Complete reports and utilize technology for documentation.
