Summary
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Security Manager is responsible for assisting in the leadership and administration of security operations at Fort Sill Apache Casino Hotel (ACH). Will lead security operations with security personnel 24/7. They will provide oversight, general leadership, and direction to security staff. Additionally, will improve the security posture of the property. The Security Manager will oversee all non-exempt team members in the department may have other direct reports depending on the needs of the organization.
Essential Functions:
Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of Apache Casino Hotel and live the mission of always providing exceptional service.
Assists in maintaining and regulating security inspections, threats, and breaches.
Ability to write comprehensive security reports.
Willingness to develop and mentor FSA Tribal Members within your department.
Supervising officers; activities to provide security for guests, team members and company property, ensuring effective communication between all areas of the casino as it relates to the guest experience.
Patrol the casino property and parking lot, providing timely assistance and service.
Use knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols to ensure compliance.
Write and develop policies and procedures for the Security Department.
Assist the Director of Security in interviewing, hiring, managing, training, giving direction and writing evaluations in a timely manner on the Security Supervisors, as well as team members within the department.
Conduct property internal investigations involving team member or customer-related activities and incidents, preparing reports as required, including follow-up to criminal reports when necessary.
Create work schedules for the team, provide on-the-job- training, reviewing performance, motivating, and developing team members and morale through mentoring, coaching, and providing performance feedback.
Ensure officers assigned to your shift comply with appearance and attendance standards, encouraging use of components of the Eye, Hi, Goodbye Program.
Maintain budget for the department.
Investigate team member complaints.
Study procedures to suggest improvements, efficiency, and standardization.
Ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Act as the Department Head in the absence of the Director.
Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards may apply departmentally based on uniform requirements).
Regular attendance is required.
All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing job duties the team member may be occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The team member may be required to stand for prolonged periods in confined spaces, work in extreme outdoor temperatures, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift, move, push, pull and/or drag up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing job duties the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate, and there are fluctuations in lighting due to flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in casino security, with 3+ years in security management role, with an AA degree in Criminal Justice or Risk Management and/or a combination of education and Casino Security management.
Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
Strong Customer Service orientation.
Possess experience in Rules of Evidence, interviewing techniques, working within the judicial system, at least 2 years experience3 in door access and key control programs, report writing, and job performance evaluations.
Proven ability to work effectively with team members including management, and regulatory agency personnel.
Proven track record to oversee and lead multiple projects and handle acute incidents (medical, workplace violence)
Ability to develop and manage department budget.
Strong computer skills and an effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with security-related management, information, and reporting systems.
Experience in conducting investigations including criminal, security, and safety.
Tactical and managerial experience with Lenel Security systems and requirements, and CIP reporting, including incident report writing.
In-Depth knowledge of federal, state laws, local ordinances and regulations pertaining to security, surveillance, life/safety requirements, and applicable elements of employment law.
Experience with and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and/or regulatory agency reporting requirements regarding security and gaming surveillance.
Aptitude to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to operate various types of equipment used in your department, for example personal computers, two-way radios and other departmental-related equipment, printers, copy machines, facsimile machines, and telephone.
Active First Aid and CPR certification.
Ability to travel to other properties and respond to emergencies after-hours as needed.
Must have a drivers license and be able to be insured on Apache Casino Hotel company insurance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license with FSAGC.
