Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our weekend Event team. Typical schedule is 5pm – Midnight on a Saturday evening and some Sundays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and conflict management, ensuring the protection of property and personnel while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
Maintain and uphold the requirements of the law and the venue. This may pertain to staff safety, liquor distribution, and parking violations.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying and reporting any theft or vandalism.
Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations as needed.
Prepare detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Assist event staff in closing at the end of the event, which may include stacking chairs and taking trash to the dumpster.
Requirements
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
Must pass background checks as required by the organization.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
