Job Opportunity

SHIFT PATTER: MONDAY TO FRIDAYSHIFT TIMES: 0600 to 1800The PurposeTo lead a shift team of Security Officers, ensuring that the daily Security operational deployment remains effective. Line manage a team of officers by completing tasks like but not limited to scheduling, holiday management, sickness and absence management, wage queries, 121, performance management, training. Controlling and coordinating response to incidents and accidents on site and ensuring that the integrity of site security is maintained throughout any Incident.

Leading and positively managing the security team through coaching, training and regular communication.

Delegate workloads effectively with a focus on ensuring the team is well-prepared to address site emergencies.

Ensure employees are always compliant with policies and procedures.

Ensure staff attendance, appearance and attitude meet required standards, addressing non-compliances as needed.

Maintain a secure site by applying site specific security rules, processes and standards.

Record, report and document incidents with high quality reports (verbal and/or written).

Achieve and encourage a high standard of customer care and providing an effective shift presence.

Managing the planned and unplanned absence of your Security team.

Carrying out welfare/return to work meetings, shift absence management and appropriate investigations where necessary.

Provide consistently high levels of customer service.

Any other duties as determined by the Management Team.

Manage the staffing requirements for a 24/7/365 cover.

Arrange short notice cover for unexpected sickness etc.

Informing Comms of any shift changes that are required so the role-call system can be updated, ensuring that staff are able to book on.

All Security officers/receptionists are trained as required with onsite instructions and qualifications required by the client (SIA, First Aid)

Perform a monthly check of SIA Licences and First Aid qualifications and requesting courses etc. where applicable.

Supervise the day-to-day running of the gatehouse and reception, assisting the guards when they are covering the Receptionists’ hours: – 1 hour lunch break.

Provide staff with onsite training for systems when introduced and provide extra coaching if required, producing How to guides for the various systems in place.

Attend weekly security meetings with the client; participate in weekly conference calls with Securitas Management. Attend various meetings regarding security assistance when required, on occasion representing the site security manager.

Authorise leave applications for Securitas employees on site and arrange cover.

Inform ops managers of any issues facing staff, pay queries welfar…
