Duties

Serves as the Command Security Officer.

Serves as the Alternate Operations Security Officer and Personnel Security Officer.

Manages personnel adverse actions by being the point of contact for reporting and notification of all derogatory reporting.

Implements all security policies and tasks, directives, instructions, standard operating procedures, control systems, and methods.

Reviews contracts to ensure appropriate clauses and/or language is contained therein for anti-terrorism (AT) and operations security (OPSEC) requirements.

This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)within their first two years of employment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.

Duty outside normal work hours may be required to resolve problems that are subject to occur on a 24-hour/7-day a week basis. Some travel may be required.

Designated Mission Essential Position: Requires to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander.

Two year trial period may be required.
