Position Purpose:

The primary purpose for this position is to maintain the security of lottery drawings and the instant ticket product as well as the safety of TEL employees, equipment, and building facilities. Responsibilities include monitoring lottery drawings, preparing stolen ticket reports, operating the physical security system, providing security escorts, processing identification badges for staff, contractors and visitors, and maintaining applicable records.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

The following duties are normal for this job and should not be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Monitors and assists with the random number generated drawings for the TEL’s on-line games and the subsequently televised animated version of the drawings
Prepares for and assists with lockdown procedures for the corporation’s multi-jurisdictional on-line lottery games
Ensures the proper and timely delivery of on-line gaming reports; retrieves game reports from the on-line vendor, relays figures generated by the on-line vendor to the TEL data center
Routinely visits the on-line vendor’s warehouse to inventory and supervise destruction of ticket stock
Prepares stolen ticket reports, enters data into the security case management system and blocks stolen tickets in the on-line vendor’s computer system
Assists with inspections at on-line and instant ticket vendors’ warehouses to ensure compliance with TEL policies and procedures
Operates the physical security monitoring system
Processes and controls access badges and identification cards
Prepares special reports utilized for security monitoring, i.e., card reader reports, access level reports, employee file reports and daily activity reports
Assists TEL security investigators and local law enforcement with active cases
Provides security and other needed assistance with TEL sponsored events and daily mail runs
Assists with investigations of violations and misconduct against the TEL and investigations regarding security matters when physical security system records and other related information is required
Confers with retailers, contractors, and other TEL staff, as necessary, to receive and relay information, answer inquiries, and provide assistance
Ensures compliance with physical security policies and procedures in every aspect of the corporation’s operations

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma (or GED) required.

Additional training in security, access control systems, computer applications or another related field preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications required.

One year of security/law enforcement or lottery experience preferred; excellent written and verbal communication skills a plus, along with good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks.

Must be able to travel intra-state using company vehicle. Must maintain a valid Tennessee Driver’s License at all times.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. The noise level in the office is usually moderate.

Pay: $36,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
