Security Specialist – Overnight PT/Flex Jobs in Miami, FL at Security Industry Specialists, Inc.

Major Responsibilities:

Ensures data integrity processes performed consistently to include internal auditing programs, naming convention standards, pro-active investigation protocols and provisioning/deprovisioning best practices implementation.
Conducts routine analysis of system records for accuracy and adherence to standards. Updates records as appropriate.
Conducts routine audit of defined security sensitive areas to ensure appropriate access controls are in place.
Conducts contractor badge audits and unused badge audits.
Monitors, documents, and collaborates on unauthorized/unapproved access, and violations of the access control policy/procedures and directives.
Conducts training for badge printing and badge user setup.
Solicits and analyzes feedback to increase effectiveness of access risks through focus groups, subject matter experts, and other methodologies.
In conjunction with other key members of the Public Safety team, supports risk analyses, anomaly detection, investigations, root-cause analyses, survey data, and site visits to thoroughly understand the operating environment to identify high priority audit mechanisms to minimize risk to the organization. Liaises with other functional areas across the enterprise and recommends joint ventures that achieve synergy and improve access controls.
Provides consultation, training, recommendations and technical expertise and support for deployed access control systems. Escalate to appropriate vendors or departments, when necessary.
Provides support to various departments for newly installed access control systems and/or hardware to include basic project management tasks such as: the creation of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, hosting project status meetings, performing access control programming, etc.
Represents Security and Public Safety in a variety of situations. Fosters a culture of execution, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team. Collaborates congenially and contributes to a climate of cooperation across the department.

Education Required:

Assoc Degree or equivalent knowledge in Business or related field

Experience Required:

Minimum 1 year of experience in security systems programming or administration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Certification with any of the following electronic access control systems preferred: Lenel OnGuard, SoftwareHouse CCure or Vanderbilt SMS.
Knowledge of security procedures for the maintenance and operation of electronic security equipment. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and correlate information to facilitate effective decision making, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple/diverse functional areas and multiple business unit leaders and stakeholders.
Skilled in Microsoft Office products: word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, along with other computer applications to prepare comprehensive reports; Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy, while, at times, maintaining strict confidentiality.
Ability to work a flexible scheduling including off-shifts, weekends, and holiday, as necessary.
Experience with data analysis, interpretation, and validation.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Must sit, stand, walk, and drive throughout the workday and must lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to push/pull with 35 lbs of force.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
