Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) protects influential and at-risk public figures. Founded in 1978 by Gavin de Becker, our team of Protectors, Analysts, and Investigators is dedicated to protecting human life through assessment, prediction, and management of violence.

A newly hired Protector in Malibu will earn at least $75,000 in their first year, with potential to earn up to $100,000 based on experience, training performance, and promotions.
This is a full-time role with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k).
Your Role as a Protector
Monitor property using GDBA Command Center tools and technology
Screen visitors and vendors; control access
Coordinate security plans and respond to emergencies
Provide physical protection and logistical support at client locations and travel
Ensure secure transportation when needed
Survey and prepare locations prior to client arrival
Document suspicious activities
Maintain readiness against threats
Who You Are
Veterans are over 60% of GDBA’s workforce. Active National Guard or Reservists are encouraged to apply and GDBA accommodates drill schedules. Active-duty members can apply within 90 days of ETS and attend our training academy during terminal leave.

Training and Qualifications
12-Day Introductory Essential Protector Skills (EPS) Training Academy
Professional Leadership Track (PLT): 2-year advanced training program
Pass physical readiness tests (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run)
Must be drug and nicotine free
Pass background checks
Ability to swim
