Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. Three 8 hour shifts 7:00am to 11:00 pm, 40 hours. Additional shifts may be available. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by providing assistance to visitors and employees. This is a critical role that requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
– Provide assistance to visitors and employees, answering telephone calls, enter visitor information into the security program, authorizing guests, issue visitor passes.
– Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and other security-related events
– Implement conflict management strategies to resolve disputes
– Ensure that all security equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the supervisor
– Maintain a high level of awareness of the surrounding environment and report any suspicious activity to the supervisor
– Perform other duties as required to maintain a safe and secure environment
Skills:
– Current Florida “D” Security license.
– Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent communication and conflict management skills
– Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
– Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential security risks
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
– Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion
– Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
