What is this role?
As a Security Supervisor for Cirkul you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day security operations, which includes a 24/7 unarmed security team across multiple locations. You will supervise teams performing access control, security monitoring, emergency response, and other security operations and programs as they are developed.
What does an average day look like?
Driving Results: Provides supervisory, oversight, and direction to Cirkul Security Officers. Work with Security Manager on investigations into security-related incidents such as theft, property damage, or workplace violence and assist Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Operations, as needed, regarding other personnel investigations or remediations.
Taking Ownership: Working with department managers, area supervisors, and functional leads to develop and enforce security measures that align with their different work environments.
Making Decisions: Instruct the Security team on mitigation, preparation, and response to potential or eminent risk events or threats that have the potential to cause disruptions to the company (e.g., protests and demonstrations, extreme weather events, emergencies, and upcoming flashpoint dates, etc.) and escalate relevant information appropriately.
Cultivating Relationships: Train, and enforce security procedures, plans, and regulations across corporate, manufacturing, and supply chain environments.
Instilling Trust: Provide training opportunities for staff on safety and security topics including security and situational awareness, personal security best practices, active threat, advanced first aid/casualty care, emergency response procedures, and more.
Customer Focus: Provide on-call support for emergency calls or incidents and escalate to the Security Operations Manager and or Director, as needed.
What background should you have?
Knowledge and familiarity with security technologies, tools, and programs encompassing access control, credentials management, CCTV video management systems, alarm, and fire panels, etc.
Understanding in incident response, crisis management, incident management, and emergency response procedures.
Previous comparable security supervisory experience.
Previous experience in military, law enforcement, or corporate security is preferred.
Experience using computers and software including Google Suite (Gmail, sheets, docs, etc.).
Ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment in a crisis or emergency.
Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends, should it be necessary to properly manage a crisis or emergency event.
Ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours a day.
Willing to work hard, stay until the job is complete, and demonstrate resilience.
Have a positive attitude, willing to work with multiple levels of employees, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
FL D License or ability to attain one.
Bilingual is a plus, Proficient in the English Language
