Responsibilities
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
Supports technology aspects of physical security projects under direction from the Security Technical Advisor and security management.

Administer vendor relationships with security integrators, including scheduling maintenance, requesting quotes, and ensuring work completion.

Advise security leadership on matters involving physical security systems and technology.

Coordinate closely with IT, Facilities, Procurement, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer, physical security technology assets and systems.

Support the investigation and implementation of new security technologies. Work with internal and/or vendor personnel to investigate system problems and develop solutions. Ensure successful testing and implementation of these technologies and solutions.

Develop formal proposals for hardware and software component purchases, and participate in negotiations with vendors. Working with supply chain, manage the provisioning of security systems, including technical support and training.

Provide project management and support to others within the organization.

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Requirements

Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree.)

A minimum of one year experience in IT and enterprise systems and electric utility operations.

Basic knowledge of security systems and software; extensive technical knowledge of complex operating systems, database, network software and disaster recovery practices.

Knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

Effective interpersonal skills and customer relationship skills.

Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Availability as a resource for problem resolution on a 24-hour basis.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $66,300 (Min) to $78,000 (Mid); Up to 10% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
