Job Summary:
The Security Technician is responsible for the daily operation of all security programs, monitoring and responding appropriately to security systems and technology matters, and communicating effectively with internal and external customers. This position will work closely with Brink’s Ground Armored to proactively address security gaps/issues related to interdepartmental logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and respond appropriately to a variety of alarm signals. Response must be timely and accurate, with particular attention given to general procedures and special instructions.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Follow all departmental and company policies and procedures.
Complete required equipment checks and daily/weekend logs.
Answer multiple telephone lines. Respond to each caller in a professional and helpful manner while gathering information, troubleshooting, transferring calls, or putting callers into voice mail.
Provide technical support as needed. Follow procedures for service and inspection requests. Communicate and analyze inquiries and determine a correct course of action. Follow-up to assure expectations are met.
Maintain building security and Monitoring Response Center operations following company procedures and policies to provide a safe and productive environment.
Assist other departments and associates with special projects to support ateamworkatmosphere for the benefit of our customers and the company.
Participate in job related training programs and meetings to continually refresh and update knowledge.
Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security setting.
Minimum of 2 years experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
