Security (Full-Time) – Wesley Willows Campus
Shift: 3rd – 10:00 pm to 6:30 am;
Shift Differential Available
Location: Wesley Willows Campus – Rockford, IL

Summary: Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all residents by performing routine security checks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform security checks on all exterior doors (Willows Arbor, Health Center, Personal Care, Town Center, Willows Suites) as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Perform temperature checks in boiler rooms and kitchens.
Remove all resident trash located in the hallways.
Remove trash from Willow Suites trash chute.
Remove cardboard from hallways and resident storage areas in Willow Suites.
Perform security rounds of all buildings and campus.
Note any garage doors that are left open, post lights that are not lit, and any suspicious activity involving unidentified people and vehicles.
Take immediate action when suspicious activity is observed by questioning individuals or calling the police as needed.
Empty soiled linen bins and trash bins in the Health Center.
Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Assist with resident relations program; handle all resident concerns promptly.
Keep the Maintenance Supervisor informed of all resident issues.
Assist with company event setups and take-downs.
Complete all special projects/assignments as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent;
A minimum of one (1) year of general building maintenance, with basic knowledge of heating and cooling systems, is required. Two (2) years preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
Must be able to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sustain a workload consistently of exerting 10 to 25 pounds.
Frequently (occurring 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to move soiled linen and trash bins.
Good mobility is necessary to perform security checks on all buildings and grounds.
Other regulated requirements:
Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine and TB testing.
Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening, including cannabis.
Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
