Position Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and investigate shrink, including potential theft, fraud, non-compliance with cash handling, loss of company merchandise or other assets within a multi-unit portfolio.
Investigate and resolve inquiries received by operations or HR regarding potential theft, loss of company merchandise, or other assets within a multi-unit portfolio, ensuring prompt and accurate reporting of findings in support of our “store first” culture.
Collect, review, and analyze data from various financial reporting systems and video surveillance to conduct confidential internal investigations.
Conduct prompt employee interviews utilizing Wicklander/Zulawski techniques for internal theft investigations.
Assist in the development and implementation of a loss prevention culture by delivering proactive asset protection strategies to operations aimed at reducing overall shrink in the retail stores.
Prepare and conduct asset protection field training.
Participate with the risk management team in the development and deployment of policies and procedures relating to risk management, loss prevention and mitigation, and process improvement.

Qualifications:
Three to five years proven experience in an asset protection role in retail, preferably in the gas station and convenience store industry.
Experience using various internal financial and exception-based reporting systems as well as video management software to conduct investigations, including implementation, maintenance, training, and data analysis.
Two years’ proven experience conducting investigative interviews.
Wicklander/Zulawski certification required.
Ability to work within a diverse team environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
