JOB DESCRIPTION
Protiviti Inc. seeks Senior Consultant, TC-Security and Privacy in Atlanta, GA:
Job Duties: Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand the requirements and objectives of security assessments. Identify areas of risk, and potential security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications. Perform ethical hacking activities using manual techniques and automated tools to identify common security vulnerabilities and simulate real-world attacks. Analyze the impact and likelihood of vulnerabilities found and provide recommendations to remediate the issues. Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and their severity in the form of an industry-understood security score (i.e., Common Vulnerability Security Score), attack steps, potential security risk and impact, and finally remediation strategies. Act as the main point of contact for clients to discuss project status, objectives, and timeline. Execute and oversee the project and all associated logistics, from commencement to completion. Present and demonstrate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders including executives and development teams, in a manner that is easily understandable. In addition, stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. Enhance technical skills and knowledge in the field of penetration testing through certifications, training programs, and participation in industry conferences and forums. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of security objectives. Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, findings, and potential risks. Partial telecommuting is permitted. Domestic travel to client sites may be required, as needed.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computing Security, Engineering, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in the field of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience with security-related frameworks used to measure maturity of security controls, including the following: OWASP, NIST-CSF, ISO 27001.
2. Experience in conducting penetration tests and vulnerability assessments in diverse environments, including knowledge of basic hacking techniques and latest security trends, techniques, and technologies.
3. Operating systems (Windows and Linux Distributions) and networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
4. Experience with the following Programming languages and exploit development: Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
5. Tools and Technologies: Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nessus, OWASP ZAP Proxy on operating systems (Windows and Linux Distributions).
6. Deliver projects using well-defined methodology across various security assessment disciplines including at least two of the following: Penetration Tests, Network Vulnerability Assessments, IoT Hacking and Web and mobile application security testing.
Partial telecommuting is permitted. Domestic travel to client sites may be required, as needed. This position is eligible for our company’s Employee Referral Program.
Base Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
