About the job:Kent is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity and Data Protection Lead to oversee cybersecurity technologies and data security initiatives. The role demands a professional with hands-on expertise in securing critical infrastructures, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and driving compliance with data protection regulations. Experience in the energy sector’s will be a significant advantage.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Proficient in security incident detection, response, and recovery processes.
Strong expertise in cybersecurity technologies (EDR, WAF, Web & Mail gateways, SASE, CASB etc.), including vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and offensive security.
Hands-on knowledge of data protection and encryption technologies, cloud and network security, and their architectures.
Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and the Zero Trust security frameworks.
Knowledge of coding and web application technologies and their security, hands-on expertise in scripting and automation.
Familiarity with AI technologies and related risks and understanding of energy sector-specific cybersecurity requirements and risks.
Experience in data management and visualization, Excel and Power BI and knowledge of dashboard management
Excellent problem-solving and team engagement skills, with the ability to baseline and drive technology cybersecurity initiatives.
