For our client, a global leader in financial technology and capital markets, we are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for our Firewall Engineering team.
The company specializes in providing trading, clearing, market surveillance, and data solutions for financial institutions worldwide. The primary responsibilities will involve firewall request planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Scope of your accountabilities:
Plan, document, and implement firewall openings.
Communicate with internal and external clients on firewall-related matters.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex firewall-related incidents.
Collaborate with other teams on firewall requests, incidents, and upgrades.
Participate in CAB meetings and represent firewall tickets.
Perform firewall OS upgrades, including pre- and post-checks.
What would make you successful in the role:
Strong understanding of OSI Layers and network security technologies.
Expertise in firewall products, especially Palo Alto (required), as well as Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and their respective management platforms.
Solid understanding of VPN concepts (Site-to-Site IPSec VPN, SSL Remote VPN).
Experience with IT Operation tools such as ITSM and Jira.
Understanding of ITIL, Change, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
Adherence to defined processes for completing firewall requests within SLAs.
Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
Offer details:
Full time cooperation base on a contract until EOY.
Working model: preferably onsite or hybrid but we are open to discuss your preferences as well.
Salary: Up to 49EUR/hour for independent contractors or 7400EUR gross when employed.
