Overall Position Overview
Reporting to the Store Manager and Area LossPreventionManager, the LossPrevention(LP) Associate is responsible for day-to-day implementation of all LossPreventionprograms and initiatives within their assigned location. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, shortage and safety goals, detection and safe apprehension of shoplifters, recovery of merchandise, auditing, use of LP Technology, and training store personnel on LossPreventionrelated topics at their location.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation and execution of all LossPreventioninitiatives and policies within their assigned location in partnership with Store Management and the Area LossPreventionManager, to protect the company’s assets and ensure the safety of all customers and employees.
Assist Store Manager and Area LossPreventionManager with training of store personnel on LossPreventionpolicies, procedures, and initiatives.
Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise in accordance with Federal and Provincial laws, as well as company and department policy. Assist the Area LossPreventionManager with detection and investigation of internal theft and policy violation incidents on an ongoing basis. Track internal investigations and external theft incidents within the department’s case management system in a timely manner.
Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and LossPreventionsenior management. Follow up as necessary throughout the inventory cycle to ensure compliance and report progress to the Store Manager, Area LossPreventionManager, and others as directed.
Utilize LossPreventiontechnology equipment including CCTV, Access Control, EAS, and exception-based reporting systems to identify and act on loss and safety issues within assigned loca…
