Description
Join our team as a Senior Operations Planning Expert, where you will provide critical support across the command. Our experts are centrally managed yet may engage with various directorates tailored to their specialized skill sets. You will excel in communicating at the highest levels of command, coordinating closely with the Commander, Deputy Commander, Executive Director (EXDIR), and Joint Director (JDIR) leadership.
As a thought leader, you will work independently while delivering principal-level support across your functions.
As a Senior Operations Planning Expert, you will:
Deliver expert strategic and technical communication.
Provide principal-level support for designated areas of expertise.
Demonstrate familiarity with commercial and government cybersecurity technologies to implement a layered defense strategy across extensive enterprise networks.
Offer subject matter expertise in Cyber, Technology, Strategic, and Military Operations.
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to plan, develop, and execute the Commander’s top priorities and future concepts.
Integrate and influence cross-functional concepts that align with the command’s high interests.
Create technical and operational documentation, including technical papers, white papers, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), system architecture, and network diagrams.
Engage as a subject matter expert in cyber panels, meetings, and working groups relevant to the command’s engagements.
Coordinate with all applicable staff, Service Cyber Components, Combatant Command (CCMD), and other agencies involved in cyber missions.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Compose comprehensive cyberspace orders and directives addressing complex policy and doctrinal challenges, including dual command chains with conflicting priorities.
Assist in the formulation and distribution of orders that guide maneuver, fires, and effects in diverse cyber environments.
Monitor and assess National, Joint Component, and internal operations to identify opportunities for the command to exercise additional authorities to achieve objectives.
Advise the command on future operations affecting the three levels of cyberspace operations: physical, logical, and persona.
Provide planning expertise to both Crisis Action and Operational planning efforts.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with 17 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may replace a degree.
An active TS/SCI security clearance.
IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CND, GSEC, SSCP, GICSP).
Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) while working with large datasets.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
